1. Purpose
These Terms govern the rights, obligations and responsibilities between 【Company name】 ("the Company") and users of MusicHall (musichall.kr) and its related services ("the Service").
2. Definitions
- "Service" means score playback, composition and arrangement, sight-singing and ear-training, graded courses, the score library, the community board and all related features provided by the Company.
- "Member" means a person who has agreed to these Terms and created an account.
- "Score data" means MusicXML, MIDI, image and other musical material uploaded or generated by a Member.
- "Content" means any text, score data or file a Member posts or transmits through the Service.
- "Paid Service" means any feature or plan the Company offers for a fee.
3. Posting and Amendment of Terms
- The Company posts these Terms on the Service.
- The Company may amend these Terms within the limits of applicable law.
- Amendments are announced at least 7 days before they take effect, stating the effective date and the reason. Where an amendment is unfavourable to Members, it is announced at least 30 days in advance and clearly highlighted.
- A Member who does not accept an amendment may terminate their account before the effective date. If a Member does not object by the effective date, the amended Terms are deemed accepted.
4. Formation of the Agreement
- The agreement is formed when a user accepts these Terms, applies for an account, and the Company accepts the application.
- The Company may refuse or later terminate an account where: another person's identity or information was used; false information was provided; the applicant is under 14 years of age; the applicant previously had an account terminated for breach of these Terms; or acceptance would be technically impractical.
- Registration is available to users aged 14 and over. Children under 14 may use only those features that do not require an account.
- Many features — including score playback and training — are available without an account. In that case practice records are not saved.
5. Account Management
- Members are responsible for their account credentials and may not transfer or lend them to others.
- Members must notify the Company immediately if they discover unauthorised use of their account.
- Members must keep their account information up to date. The Company is not responsible for disadvantages arising from outdated information.
6. Scope of the Service

Microphone audio used in the training features is analysed entirely within the user's own browser. It is never transmitted to or stored on the Company's servers.
7. Changes to and Suspension of the Service
- The Company may change the Service and will announce material changes in advance.
- The Service may be suspended in whole or in part for maintenance, repair or replacement of equipment; for force majeure such as natural disaster, power failure or network outage; or where normal operation becomes impracticable.
- Where advance notice is not possible, notice will be given afterwards.
- If the Service is discontinued, the Company will give at least 30 days' notice and explain how Members can download their data.
8. Rights in Member Content
- Members retain all rights in the content they upload or create. The Company does not acquire ownership of it.
- Members grant the Company a licence, limited to operating the Service, to store, back up, display and reproduce that content. The licence ends when the content is deleted or the account is closed, except where retention is required by law.
- Uploaded score data is private by default and is not disclosed to third parties unless the Member explicitly makes it public.
- Members warrant that their content does not infringe any third party's rights. See the Copyright Policy.
- Original exercises and educational material created by the Company remain the Company's property; Members may use them freely for personal study and practice.
9. Prohibited Conduct
- Uploading or publishing material that infringes copyright or other rights.
- Uploading or sharing scans or photographs of commercially published score books.
- Collecting, storing or publishing another person's personal information.
- Excessive automated access (crawlers, bots) or conduct that overloads the servers.
- Reverse engineering the Service or circumventing its security measures.
- Defaming or harassing other Members, or posting obscene or violent material.
- Commercial use or advertising without the Company's prior consent.
- Any other conduct that breaches applicable law or disrupts normal operation of the Service.
10. Management of Postings
- The Company has no obligation to monitor Member postings continuously.
- The Company may make a posting private or delete it without prior notice where it appears to breach applicable law or these Terms, or where an infringement report is received.
- Copyright complaint and counter-notice procedures are set out in the Copyright Policy.
- A Member may object if they believe action against their posting was unjustified.
11. Paid Services and Payment
- The Company may offer parts of the Service for a fee. Prices, payment methods and durations are shown on the relevant screen.
- Displayed prices 【include / exclude】 value-added tax.
- Subscription plans renew automatically unless cancelled; the Company gives notice before each renewal charge.
- Members may cancel automatic renewal at any time and retain access until the end of the paid period.
- Where payment processing is delegated, the processor is identified in the Privacy Policy.
12. Withdrawal and Refunds
- Members may withdraw from a purchase within 7 days of payment.
- Under the Korean Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, withdrawal may be restricted where the paid feature has already been used and its value has thereby been materially diminished. Any such restriction is disclosed before payment.
- On mid-term cancellation of a fixed-period plan, the Company refunds the balance after deducting the value of the period already used and a reasonable handling fee.
- Where the Service is unavailable through the Company's fault, the Company extends the period accordingly or issues a refund.
- Refunds are made to the original payment method within 3 business days of the request.
13. Termination
- Members may close their account at any time through the Service, and the Company will process it without delay.
- On closure, personal information and practice records are destroyed in accordance with the Privacy Policy. Uploaded score data is also deleted, so please download anything you wish to keep beforehand.
- The Company may restrict use or terminate the agreement, after notice, where a Member materially breaches these Terms. In urgent cases notice may be given afterwards.
14. Liability for Damages
- Either party is liable for damage caused to the other by breach of these Terms.
- Where a Member's infringement of a third party's rights leads to a claim against the Company, the Member shall indemnify the Company at their own cost.
15. Disclaimers
- The Company is not liable where the Service cannot be provided due to force majeure such as natural disaster, power failure or network outage.
- The Company is not liable for problems arising from the user's own equipment, microphone settings or network environment.
- Results produced by score recognition, pitch assessment and automatic arrangement are provided for reference only and are not guaranteed to be accurate. Absent wilful misconduct or gross negligence, the Company is not liable for loss arising from reliance on them.
- The Company is not responsible for the accuracy or reliability of Member content and does not intervene in disputes between Members or with third parties.
- For services provided free of charge, the Company is not liable for damages absent wilful misconduct or gross negligence.
16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
- These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea.
- The parties shall endeavour to resolve any dispute through good-faith discussion.
- Failing agreement, a claim may be brought before the court having jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
Addendum
